Right 9 points now, what can I get to help me drive legally?

Just pass on any further speeding tickets onto the other half/brother/etc and if stopped for something giving points, give someone elses details (having made sure they are a named driver to make it plausible, maybe even some fake ID). If the worst comes to the worst, at least you'll be banged up instead of disqualified. 
I have to say that the suggestions of anything vaguely "classic" are heading in the right direction in my opinion. Not only do older cars tend to have a fecking huge speedo in plain view but the lack of a 5th or even 4th gear means you're really sensitive to the speed you're doing. An old Moggie can be plenty reliable enough too and they are comfortable. Get used to being part of the traffic with everyone sailing by, no tooting just people overtaking, sometimes even with a smile

I have to drive to the south of france and paris a few times this year so bought the vectra as it sits nice and quiet on the motorway and has cruise and was cheapy cheap, a oldie just isn't going to cut it for 600 miles in a day with 40 mpg to boot.You'll blend in to the scenery as far as the fuzz are concerned. Yeah the gear selected is what did me, I was in fifth trying to save that bloody expensive fuel, and it just crept up, you don;t hear the change in speed nor feel it in that gear. One of the things I am now doing holding a lower gear.

Had some good news, the original 6 points runs out next july so not as long as i thought it was, will be spending a couple of months out of the country so looks like it is down to 13 months of driving miss daisy.

Relying on a machine is as much use a relying on a electronic device, I personally need to not go over.Bear in mind both cases I got points for were both under 40mph, I don;t speed on the motorway, I cruise at 70mph, one road was 2 miles long and I got pinged 300metres before a limit increase to 60 and one was in the country coming out of a nsl and slowing down, just not fast enough, I would have done the same thing in a uno, I wasn't ragging it. That is the bit that worries me, i really don;t think I have a lead foot, I ride motorbikes, scooters, vans and trucks, I drive around the speed limit like most, checking, as long as the needle was nearer to the 30 than the 40 I was happy, but I have been caught twice, one time I messed up with the court procedures and got slapped with a extra 3 points. With out that I would feel fine carrying 6 points, down to 3 in about a year, but I have it and now worried I will get stung again, so now have to drive with the needle under the 30 for a year. I need to change my driving and want something to aid me.
At least the road angel thing will warn me if I creep above the uno/106 won;t do anything but be a uncomfortable with just as much chance of doing what I have done before

Done. Let me know how I can prove this (at no expense to me) and I'll undertake five of those journeys every day and bill you monthly. If I exceed the speed limit, which I do on most journeys (intentionally) then I'm observant and make sure I don't get caught, or crash. In half a million miles I've been caught once, and that was after doing 135 in a 60 which wasn't something that crept up on me (although the cop car was, I had to slow down to let him catch up).The Tomtom Live units have up to date speed limit info - the speed turns red when you go 10% over the current limit, and mine is accurate to within 15-20m of a limit change. Very impressive.

Then, I observe the speed limit using my observation skills and I don't let the speedo exceed the speed limit.
I know, I know, I shouldn't bang on about my brilliant idea without relevant patents or protection, but my god, I think the driving masses deserve this information.
