I would like something that monitors my speed and warns me when I am above the speed limit, I have been looking at road angels but not sure if they don;t just tell you when your over the limit near a camera ( essentially what my sat nav does ). I would like something that keeps me in check all the time. Can I buy something or add some software for my garmin 205 ?

Cheers
Roadangel (needs updating alot, but has a configurable, set speed warning built in)
Satnav with Scamera warnings (needs updates, generally more out of date than the roadangel, some have an overspeed warning)

Half brick under accelerator?

Slower car?

If you want a speed camera database for your sat nav don't use TomTom's - it is rubbish and well out of date - the above link is IMHO the best available and it's only £20 a year subscription (if you find and submit a camera they don't have, when you're a member, your membership is renewed for free for life). The database is updated every month so its absolutely bang on. It also has all the speed limits and temp cameras (static and vans).

Can't be bothered to read 5 pages of self righteous-ness, but if you have an Android phone, CoPilot for £25 or so has an option to beep when x mph over the limit.

I thought that, but have to say through the whole thing the police have been lovely, when they pulled me they were polite, had a laugh with me, let me take the puppy for a wee as he dealt with everything and chatted through all the options available, talked about where I was going and how he had grown up down in Dorset ( where I was off to ) wished me and the dog a safe journey and pleasant weekend.

When I had to produce and couldn't find my paper counter, they were really helpful in the station when I went and asked for advise, DVLA were great made a special effort to get me my copy super quick, and then CPS policy on taking responsibility for actions with quick effort to deal/pay for crime.

All in all I wish all aspects of law and bureaucracy were handled like this, even if not as leniently, although that was nice !
