It looks unmistakably like a Jag, but with a lot of hardcore attitude. And I'm sure that is exactly what they wanted to achieve. They still make the svelte classy looking other versions, but the basic dynamics of chassis, body and engine fully merited this additional version to the line-up. BRAVO. Can't wait to read a road test and hope it goes as well as expected, so it can be added to the dream car list!

Maybe the car sounds worse than that pop tune why else would the makers prevent us from hearing it. Great @rse though.
doubt it, even the standard XKRs have one of the best guttural V8 soundtracks of any modern car. This thing probably sounds epic!

There is some local hooligan who belts down the by-pass outside my office in a 'base' XKR on a fairly regular basis.

The other day I got the benefit of him, obviously playing 'legend in his own lunch hour', doing first one direction, and then the return, with full throttle. Sounds magnificent - I can only speculate on the racket made by the XKR-S.

XKR-S sounds fab - have been passed by one on the M5 - was still swirly stickered.

Love the looks of it. Even love the colour... pretty much the same as the C30 polestar. Pity I'll never be able to afford one.

seen one every day this week as i walk past it.

looks so cool,(sub zero) 10 times better in the flesh.

the whole car looks the business including the rear spolier!!

Think it would need more than the standard one at 180 + mph

British Beef at its best

I envy those complaining about paying 97k pounds for an XKR-S. Out here (Australia) our government uses luxury cars as a revenue raiser and taxes them to oblivion. For what I paid for my regular XKR I could probably buy 2 of the new XKR-S's in Britain.

Absolutely sensational. I love everything about it. Would definitely go high up on my lottery car list!

Does anyone at Jaguar actually watch these videos before they are put out, car great, pictures great, engine note lovely, but music and drumbeat crap for MTV only, Jaguar - please watch and see how easy it was to spoil a good presentation, I doubt this will change anything though.

That body and that colour.

A ford badge wouldn't look out of place on that thing at all.

The colour, styling and LHD video - Maybe they're telling their potentially biggest market that they've gone and built the ultimate V8 muscle car.

French racing blue, a colour I think should be used more often. Looked fabulous on the Clio 182, 197, etc.

Those rear numberplate lights and the end of the video are blinding!
