Used to fill up the 205 (over the brim if my dad paid before going back to Uni) for £18 tops. I think it was around 40p a litre.

I bought my 1st car in the summer 1996 (a lovely 1985 C plated Fiesta) and remember paying around 75 pence per litre for petrol.

That's my baseline, I cannot remember it being cheaper than that.

How cheap was it for you?
27 pence a liter in Florida in 2008, it was 1.49 USD a gallon (3.78 liters)

About 60p a litre. My Fiesta Popular would go for ages on a fiver!

I passed my test in 2008 so was slap bang in the highest prices we'd ever seen until now biglaugh Was nice when it went back down to 99.9p for a bit.

Can't remember exactly, about £1.20-25p per gallon of good old leaded 4-star would seem about right, as it used to cost me a fiver for a fill up on the Mini's 5.5 gal tank.... and I doubt I'd be putting in more than 4.5 gals each time max.
