Vauxhall Insignia "Exlusive" Nav (my car)

Yes, about as exclusive as sleeping with Jordan.

anyway f*** the Skoda.

I think it's tacky and anything but. You think it's superb. Each to their own.

He's a leftfield one for those that know their car history

Ferrari 599 GTO
The way you talk its as if the Skoda is a bad car; its no more tacky than any other VAG car ....

But the 599 GTO isn't one that would get mentioned that often in this context, but its definitely not a GTO in the same vein as anything else from Ferrari thats had that moniker.

True, but it's WHY it isn't the same vein that's the irony. (The clue is in the 'O' )

I don't get the "Tacky" comment in regards to the Skoda? Id say an Audi with its drl's is classed as far more tackier. The Skoda whispers, the Audi shouts.

In the context of the RRS, I think it does apply to the s/c one against the full fat. Agree that 'Sport' is used loosely and mainly as a marketing tool. A diesel RRS is def not sporty.
My Sport can def top 140,dunno where that figure comes from. wink

Range Rover Sportier just doesn't have that imagine.

The Gti was deserving of the name. They were like Scrappy-Doo on wheels.

Can't speak for the others though...

yes

Silly thing is, the 599XX is an 'Omologato'. If they'd called that model the GTO it wouldn've made much more sense.

You can just tell this decision came out of the marketing department, not the Scuderia's workshop.

I love the hopelessly misnamed caravans - The MARAUDER

Wiki says:
'Marauder' is an outlaw or mercenary paid or sustained by looting.

Picture says:

Also, the 'Swift', and worst-named of all, the Mistral.

The name being the summer wind that blows through the Mediterranean each year, bringing the summer climate. Appropriately, it was also given to this:

You can just picture it, wafting down to the Cote d'Azur in that thing, to some beautiful 1920s art-nouveau hotel with its own casino and a dress code in the Michelin-starred restaurant...

Not stuck in one of these for a wet weekend in Rhyl, eating cold one-pot casserole that smells of Calor Gas, showering in a trickle of cold water, sleeping on a horrible patterned sofa with comfort levels akin to a prison cell and defecating into a bucket:
