The Gti was deserving of the name. They were like Scrappy-Doo on wheels.
Can't speak for the others though...
The older versions didn't go, or look, swift. Can't speak for the others though...
Any VW. Something that was meant to be the car for the people that has turned into a £35k diesel hatch or £40k sport hatch, then they did the phaeton etc etc.
I've got nothing against VW but if there was a British car company called 'the people's car' who were 10% dearer than ford/vauxhall etc then it would be ironic.
So I bought a pretentious people's car instead.

Honda Legend is certainly not a legend?
NSX based engine and a proper gear box would have made it legendary but Honda wanted to compete with Lex-arse. Bloody handle well for a big car though but it's never in the right gear out of a corner and you have to wait for it to kick down. Rubbish. skinley said:
Impreza, every time I see one (usually covered in rally stickers, making loads of noise and driven by a moronic, knuckle-dragging 'geezer'), I'm thoroughly un-imprezed.
The image problems disappeared for me the first time I experienced a full-bore launch in one running about 350bhp. I WAS imprezzed.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
