The image problems disappeared for me the first time I experienced a full-bore launch in one running about 350bhp. I WAS imprezzed.
indeed, I think a lot of the chav label is the result of people who spend 6 figure sums on status symbols and need to come up with a rationalisation for why they spent so much on something not that fast, other than 'because it proves I'm rich'. Clio 172, EVO, imprezas, supras, even skylines - labelled 'chavy' by people who wish you to know they are considerably richer than yow. Ask yourself; is someone who spends their hard-earned on something based purely on its capabilities really that 'chavvy'? If so, count me in.

Not an itonic name , just a stupid one. If they had made a celebrity endorsed "Cher" special edition, that would have been ironic.

THis one is ironic though :

Congratulations to Podie for posting the winner on the first reply. I bet even Mitsubishi chuckled to themselves when naming this.

Bora is Swahili for poo. Accuracy and in no way ironic.

MR2 in French is of cours Merde du as well. There was a Veilside Sumo kitted one at a Parisian auto show a few years ago and the owner didn't know why people laughed at it all day. wink
