I cant believe anyone with a 15k budget is thinking about clios and corsa's???

You could get soemthing wicked for about 8 K and spend the rest on insurance and fuel!! Think 80 and 90's stuff, porsche, lotus, tvr, e30 M3, audi quattro, delta integrali...i could go on lol.

I had a 944 s2 at 21 and relatively wasnt that bad on insurance as its worked out on stats realting to how many of them end up in fields and round trees...ie imprezas and the like.

Plus in a few years with one of these retro classicsyou will probably get most of your money back.... with a hot hatch i doubt you will.

The guy who posted the picture of his GTR, after asking for advice on buying a ferrari.
The one that was lifted from an Australian classified ad? That was rather amusing hehe

Ridiculous suggestion. TVR, MX5 or 335 mapped.

I know a chap, who since turning 18 has had the following..

E36 M3 Evo
E46 M3
E46 M3 Cabrio
Audi R8
Audi RS4
Ferarri F430

All before he was 25! Good work some say....

Or, the fact he was syphoning cash off the family business he worked for. Something like that possibly. Just hearsay obviously.....

R8 to RS4 surely a poor move.

Thing is, someone driving a Corsa VXR/Astra VXR doesn't strike me as someone who loves their cars. Doesn't really give off that petrolhead type image.
For want of a better word, just looks a bit "chav." Something youd see in maccies car park on a evening.

If it was me, id be thinking of something a bit more, upmarket? Or is that just be being a bit badge snobby?
No, it's just realising that there is more fun in rwd and possibly 4wd beasts like Evo's than Corsa's etc.

Sorry, that's not in order, just as I remembered them. Yeah he didn't have a drivers license either...... Think he now has one, but the Rarri went when he got found out, now in an M3 CSL, so things aren't all bad.

Shocking that the owners wouldn't notice 20k, depends over what time period and if they actually seen the cars.

Family business. He was in charge of paying out accounts and had sole responsibility for handling 1000's in cash transactions every day. Doesn't take long to cream the cash off fiddling the books.

Pretty shocking stuff really. I had a civic VTI at 21, bought and paid for and I was happy.

That is what they get for laying trust in someone who cannot be trusted. Did they not wonder where the cars came from?! hehe

If by "Job" you mean "Financial ruin and a world of pain" then yes, job done indeed.

HOWEVER, £15K and 21? £5K tops and spend the rest on girls and other cool st!

Get a lot of car for 15k in current econ;

I picked up my 130i earlier this year with around 16,000 miles on the clock for under 14k - to use the oft over-used phrase; debadged that really is a sleeper.

Certainly more appealing than a pumped up Clio that I would be embarressed to be seen in.

I'd take the pumped up Clio but then again I'm into tarty cars so it's hardly surprising by the way seeing as my big toy might be going tomorrow I think we should do a thread saying what to replace a Lambo with for a 2 year old who wants to but a new toy at a fraction of the cost to reinvest the rest of the money? Say spend £40k tops on a car? I'm thinking DB9 or Bentley.
