Whats the nicest car you have ever driven?
Discussion
Just been reading the thread on what is the fastest car you have ever driven. What I want to know is what is the one that has put the biggest smile on your face?
Last year I drove a Ferrari F430 which was amazing. Did some silly speeds, noise was amazing and I could not believe how fast it could go. However, I was also lucky enough to have a quick drive in a Jaguar e-type series 1 3.8 roadster, this put a massive smile on my face because it was such a pleasure to drive at normal road speeds. If I was to be able to have one last drive of my life I would definitely pick the Jag.
Okay over to you...

NOTHING will ever have the same impact as your first proper car, when you're young, impresionable, living a pretty hairaising life and 50% of the time living in a fantasy world fuelled by drugs, smoke, beer and bhes.
So for me it would be my Elan SE M100. The memories I have of that car, tooling around in it as a fresh faced 21 year old, the womean that went in it, the trials and tribulations, the escapdes, sleeping rough in it, first learning to go round bends in it .... nothing comes close. Nowadays I'd need a Veyron to get the same buzz and even then, it wouldn't be nearly as good.
I was gifted a supercar experience a few years back - got to drive a Lamborghini Murcielago, Aston DBS, and an Audi R8.
Unexpected favourite of the day was the R8.. just so much more fun to drive than the other two. The Lambo was big, loud and really intimidating to drive.. The Aston DBS was a huge let down - looked spectacular of course, but felt like a quick Mondeo, and nothing more! The R8 however just ticked all the boxes - sounded amazing, went like a rocket, and handling was superb.
So I think I'd say the R8 was the nicest car I've ever driven - it was just a really enjoyable driving experience in so many ways.

One of the most fun recently was a mk2 MX5
So slow and such lack of grip that on uk roads you can be at the limits of everything a LOT of the time. This counts for everything once you have 'gotten over' fast cars. The overall balance and fell of teh mx5 is also bang on. You cant have more fun than that... Simple as.

Cannot decide between the Ferrari 288GTO or the F40 that i have been lucky enough to drive.
So i'll go for the ex Mansell JPS Lotus 92 F1 car that i drove at Silverstone a few years ago.
Every person i know who has owned an F40 says that it was a massive disappointment. Of course they only get to this level of honesty afte they have sold it or are close to that point. So i'll go for the ex Mansell JPS Lotus 92 F1 car that i drove at Silverstone a few years ago.
