Oh God Audi, look what you've gone and done now!

Wrong. This is the best-looking car Audi have designed in a long time:

I want this so hard.
fk you, netshowcars.
But how would people looking at that KNOW it was an Audi? Better make it look like an A4, just to preserve the imagine. {edited because netwshowcars is rubbish, and despite having the url embedded in them picture, they won't allow hotlinking. I'll find another source.}

I followed the pre launch of this car with excitement, the tricksy pics and Riva inspired wood detail for the dash.
Then I saw the launch car at the dealers and cooled down 50%, but though, I am not 65 yet, or a Market trader so would still prefer it to a DFS CLS.
Then I saw one in the cold hard light of day, the front didn't stand out at all, then noticed as it went past 'oh, an A7' then saw the back and started dry wretchin! Its along the lines of something going through the poo throng, like the crossfire.

It's horrible. An Audi clone of the 5 Series GT. Ugly, ugly, ugly.
God no! The 5GT looks like it's wearing a backpack.The 5GT is quite stupendously ugly, it has possibly the worst backend of any car in years, the Audi isn't necessarily one of the best looking cars on the road, but its leagues ahead of the 5GT.

You've only gone and made a stunning-looking car!
I had committed myself to a strict policy of Audi-loathing. Ever since the 80/90/100/200 and Quattro shuffled off this mortal coil Ingolstadt's styling department has done absolutely nothing to interest me whatsoever.
But then I caught sight of one of these beauties and for some reason I can't help but stare when one glides by. A7 Sportback:
I think it's that rear end. That really sharp fastback, Kamm-tail and neat rear light clusters remind me of various '60s/'70s Italian GTs. I'm seeing Maserati Ghibli, Iso Lele and Lamborghini Jarama in that.
Front's not bad either. Less 'corporate' and the sharp-angled hexagonal theme is more Lamborghini Espada than Audi saloon.
And then there's the interior, which actually appears to have been designed with something approaching 'flair':
And to top it all, people are buying them in colours other than Resale Silver, including a stunning metallic pea-green straight off a '70s Italian concept car.
I think I might be ill. Help.
Try here www.specsavers.co.uk , Sportback or whatever audi call thier hatchbacks, its just ugly, apt colour though, same as the 5 series "gert turd" I had committed myself to a strict policy of Audi-loathing. fk you, netcarshow.
If you look above the images on Netcarshow, you'll see a little box with the code for direct hotlinking. It gives you the image with a Netcarshow logo:{edited because netcarshow is rubbish, and despite having the url embedded in them picture, they won't allow hotlinking. I'll find another source.}
fk you, netcarshow.
And that gives you this:
I saw one of these in the new Bristol showroom a couple of weeks ago and it looked stunning. Loads of room inside and a huge boot. Agreed to go for a test drive in a demonstrator 3.0 TDi Quattro. The outside colour was a sort of slag heap grey and the interior was very light grey, a terrible combination. All that could be seen in the rear view mirror was the reflection from the light coloured parcel shelf.
The car was very average and unexciting to drive and certainly not worth £8-10K over the A6 saloon that I was told.
More telling was the fact that there were loads of cars available from stock in a wide range of specifications and colours. When pushed, the salesperson admitted that they had not sold a single car since launch on late January!
He also admitted that Audi had got it wrong by making the car strictly a four seater with just four seat belts. There is room for a fifth person in the back but no seat belt. Apparently Audi have acknowledged the problem and will make the change for future production.

My first and only experience of an A7 was one riding my arse trying to get me to speed up to clear a queue of traffic in L2.
Noted as he roared off how much like the old Audi Coupe GT the rear was, and how it had a little flippy-up spoiler.
That's all really.
ETA My bad, I meant the AUDI 100 Coupe S 1970 - 1976
