Awesome sounding 6 cylinders

I've got a E30 325i and that sounds glorious is a refined way, Especially the whirl from 3k rpm. They do sound better then the 24V BMW engines.

In the annals of the straight 6, the last CSL is well...limp. If that is your idea of awesome then crickey you better stock up on the pantyliners if you stood next to an XK of yonder vintage or an Aston. In fact just line it up against the original CSL, stand back, close your eyes then daffy duck away to a glorious 70s soundtrack.

my TVR s3 sounds amazing, the howl, mixed with the bass and the pops n bangs when you let off are stunning. A mate had an NSX,that sounded good. I drove a Tuscan last summer, the noise was savage! Tbh, there are too many to mention!

I was going to suggest the S-Series. TVR did an incredible job on the humble Ford V6, it sounds better than the Rover V8 imho.

find some footage of Markku Alen or Bjorn Waldegaard in a Stratos and try arguing telling me that an E36 BMW M3 still sounds better...

there was a Ferrari 206 racing at the silverstone classic last year that sounded awesome, we were sat at woodcote and it howled through the complex and down the pit straight, it sounded better than grid full of GT40s, Lola T70s, Chevrons and Ferrari 512s....

No youtube at work, so it might be what Chris has linked to... but theres a chap with an 'S' who lives on the IOM, PH'er, has some good videos showing the S series music.

I also am of the opinion the 2.9 S sounds better than any V8 TVR.
