Rotor arm would be easier. It does have one, doesn't it...?

I'd still go with fuel pump relay...

I grew up in the 80's & 90's, car crime is not getting worse, trust me. You could start any Ford with the key from any Ford, Other makes were only slightly more difficult. Immobilisers were unheard of.

Pull the battery out as well. Fit a recording CCTV camera focused on location of car.
Arm up with several shot guns and attack dogs that could even turn on owner in right cicrumstances.
Park an armed + manned tank in front of said car.
Get some of thoose posts and seal them into the ground and make sure they are locked securly.

If their mates have been nicked and they know the police are aware of "the list" they would have to be pretty stupid to continue to target the same cars. After all its a Mini not a 1967 GT500 Mustang.

To be on the safe side it might be worth parking it elsewhere for a few days. The only way to steal a modern car is with a lo-loader or the keys! The last thing you want is them breaking into the house.
