whats this plug for? (e36 328i)

anyone any idea on what this plug is for?

if it helps it's on a bmw e36 328i

If it plugs into that black box on top of what looks like the air intake, could be an intake sensor would be my geuss

That plugs into the ASC actuator just above and to the left in the pic. It goes in on the right hand side (as we're looking at it) and the wire clip locates on the top.

It'll put out the yellow light on the dash! Also allows the wheel speed sensors to talk to the Traction Control device. I'm not sure if it affects the ABS aswell though.

lol plugged it in. Realised what it didm then swiftly unplugged it.

Traction control my arse! abs still works fine
