Might depend on the circuit.
Been to Knockhill Circuit a few times and they allow you to use your own helmet ..
Infact just remembered they don't allow open-faced helmets.

I have always used bike helmets on track days.

In my mind i would prefer my head inside a nice Arai that fits properly than a generic helmet that everybody else has worn & doesn't fit

So long as it's the ACU gold or equiv or whatever it is nowadays you won't have a problem and your better off with your own lid anyway.

They tend not to check. Take it along and the worst that will happen (besides having a crash in an unsuitable helmet) would be that they refuse and lend you one instead. smile

The event will be happening at Donnington so I will take my BMW System 6 along(they may have a problem with it as it has a flip up front),and also my Arai Quantum F.I just don't want to end up with an ill fitting smelly borrowed helmet.

I used an Ariel bike helmet for 2 years doing car track days. No-one batted an eyelid or even checked what it was.

Missus uses her system 6 at various track days. She did get the BMW bike shop to supply and fit the gold sticker just incase.

The helmet meets the standard but BMW don't put them on unless requested (so she was told).

The flip up front is real handy to.

Must get myself one.
