Massively improved compared to the 206 GTI. I think most people tried a 206, were faintly horrified, and then never gave the 207 a chance.

Wife had a 207 GT 5 door for a while. Hateful thing, only plus was the massive discount through DtD, which ironically was higher on a GTi.

On our second Mini since(a JCW), much much better.
