I wonder if it was taken with or without his dad's permission, and also if he was insured

A mate told me a story of when he and a pal wrapped up a brand new 928 when they were 16/17 (in the US). His Dad had asked him to pick it up from the dealer as it was a gift for his Mum's birthday. The lads went down in their scruffs and eventually got the car (by pointing outside to the 308 they'd turned up in). When the Dad found out, he came home and apparently had the lads in the front room, came in a dropped the front bumper on the table.

"you're grounded - 2 weeks".

LOL! Such hardship.

Doesn't look like much investigation is needed. 50mph speed limit and he's ripped the front wheels off in what looks like a single vehicle accident. Doesn't look like there is much to hit to rip them off though.

Goes to show that the safety measures built into the chassis work though.

A 20 year old with a female passenger in a sub 3 second car with over 600BHP and no driver aids - What else was the likely outcome in this situation? eek

^ I remember at school a lad a couple of years above me was lent his dad's 928 for his 18th. He and his mates took it in turns to try and post the best time from school, round the roundabout and back. Who are these fking idiots?

For clarification, I mean the parents.
