Cars with character?
Discussion
I've had quite a few cars in my time - some good, some bad, some new(ish), some old, some quick, some slow. But 'character' is sort of indefinable.
In my mind, the cars I've had that have possessed this attribute have been my Innocenti 120L (mini cooper with a hatchback body) and my current Panda 100HP. Possibly also my 205 GTi (brilliant car, but maybe a bit lacking in the (admittedly undefinable) 'character' aspect.
How about you? You could have a supercar with no character or an econobox with. I'm imagining beetles and mini's will feature heavily!
My first barchetta had character, paid peanuts for it and had a great time but was definitely not without foibles like the fact there was a pressure leak and coming up to junctions putting the clutch down and pressing the brake would stall it as the revs bounced to zero. I could have fixed it but just drove around using all three pedals as I arrived at a junction instead, made it more of an event
in hindsight, probably should have fixed it though as eventually engine went bang and sprayed the engine bay full of oil in a very terminal way...a valiant death :'(
