Not bad, certainly more masculine. I'd say that in black, you'd have 20% less chance of ridicule if you drove one...

Pity that the interior has lost any individuality at all though, it's exactly the same as the Eos/Scirocco etc.

I think that's quite good actually, It wouldn't be my first choice but I wouldn't laugh at a friend if he got one.
I'm glad they sorted the back end out, never liked the rear of the old one.
The new rear end seems to "flow" nicely.

I'd be happy with the current model (but can't afford) and the new is even better.
There again I also drive a Smart - and it's my favorite car

Shame they aren't real photos. But if a production version looks like that then I'd say it'll be one if the best looking VW's in years. Certainly a thumbs up from me.

I actually think a Beetle 'R' in this guise would look rather good.
