I'm paying £630 for a Nissan 350Z. I'm 24 with 0 NCB, so it's not all doom and gloom. For me at least biggrin

I have never known the same insurer to quote the same price consecutive years, you would think it would go down with an extra years NCB. Over the last 5 years I have changed insurers 5 times ive been with More Than twice but never consecutive years as they quote more very bizzar business insurance.

I was led to believe People Carrier owners should brace themselves for the next renewal - additional passengers means additional claimes for injury

The only time mine has ever gone up year on year was when I swapped from a group 8 to a group 15 car.

I must be the only person that has had a dramatic decrease on my premium. Went from £900 to £350. Everything the same only with an extra years NCB!

I don't see why everyone is having this hassle? Last year I was £1100, just done a quick quote on confused and I was £800 - bobs your uncle, drinks on me folks smile

I was pleasantly surprised with my renewal quote, virtually the same as last year and very competetive with the comparison sites. It wasn't worth the hassle of changing this year. Is this a sign that the insurance comapanies arw trying to retain good customers?

Insurance had a part to play in me finally giving in and joining a co. car scheme. I'm sick of ridiculous premiums and unjustified increases. I ran a quoute a few days ago as it's renewal time soon and added an SP30 just to see what difference it would make. An additional £300! I give in.

They do make you jump through hoops, don't they?

So off to Compare and then back to broker to say that I have seen quotes £100 cheaper.

"Have you actually contacted the companies that have quoted as normally things change at that point"

So today I contact one of the cheapest and mysteriously the £340 has become £386 so I get back to my broker, who could go no lower than £440 TPFT.

Says he can go no lower but will try fully comp and then we settle on £398, so £50 more than last year's TPFT policy!!

I'm sure R1 Loon can explain why a fully comp can be had cheaper than TPFT but for now I'll accept the small rise and make use of the windscreen cover as there are a few small chips in the window.

Cheers all and good luck. Roll on August when the bike insurance is due.
