Its also a lot safer pushing a car on track than driving like a dick on a road.
This. There's no friggin point owning a GT car unless you're going to track it....you can't get anywhere near it's capabilities on the road. You can have a sodding massive smile on your face driving it on the road but you do need to get it on a track to get the proper buzz. Steve Rance said:
Absolutely. I find it saddening that so many GT3's and GT4's do not find thier way onto the race track. These cars were designed to spend part of thier live's there. The GTS versions are such good cars. If there's no intent to track then why bother buying a propper GT car? If this happened, Most of the allocation st fights would stop.
all wishful thinking i Know.
I had a Cayman GTS i drove to Como in across the alps last year. Perfect car for the trip. Did 35mpg combined and a 170 on thr autobahn whilst also being great fun on the passes.all wishful thinking i Know.
So in full agreement. My old man has a rubystone 964rs evocation thing - its a c2 with rs engine etc and he much prefers that on the road to the 997 gt3 which is far better on track.

I love this thread!!!
Snap! Me too. So good.O/T I don't generally do 'polish and show' sort of stuff, but I've made an exception for tomorrow's Sportscar Together day at Cholmondeley Castle. My car is in the parade, apparently. (With the dog a co-pilot and navigator.) Anyone else there?
