Yellow car with the gold wheels looks fantastic. That said, so does your red one https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/imgs/6.gif

Admittedly, you are not wrong! After being deemed over noise limit at Brands it was basically a photoshoot! I was also doing a fitment test with a friend's slick wheel for future use...so not all a waste.

Cheers....a yellow CS came to market a couple of weeks too late for me, else would have loved to have developed that to same level as the red one. One day....!

...oh, and I recognise some of yours now wink

Lovely. Did you take this thing to a very wet track day in Spa in 2006, or am I thinking of another car?

That wasn't mine, although it has been there. That car, I believe was owned by a little Irish fellow who Steve Rance knows.

Was tricky conditions for a mid-engined super car!

Been there, done that, got the T shirt, would never have a gloss black car EVER again !! Speed, Guards or Zanzibar for a Mk 1 !! Or white (very rare) or Silver. Basically anything but black !!

I don't know quite how much it might help with black, but have you thought of talking to a decent detailer about ceramic coating?

I loathe cleaning cars but find that, if nothing else, ceramic coating makes the process a bit faster and easier. Both mine and Mrs Digga's last couple of cars have had it done.

FWIW I have recently had a very dark blue car ceramic coated and it has made a huge improvement - stays cleaner, longer and half the time to wash and dry.
