Out of interest, do you leave it on charge when not in use? Mine's always connected to a CTEK in the garage and I'd hope this extended battery life, but do know that for sure. Never certain whether precautionary new battery is wise after a few years.

Yes always on a charger. But not driven for a while and the original Porsche battery just gave up the ghost. Had to jump start it, but didn’t bank on it giving up halfway on the short journey home - on the busiest road around...Out of interest, do you leave it on charge when not in use? Mine's always connected to a CTEK in the garage and I'd hope this extended battery life, but do know that for sure. Never certain whether precautionary new battery is wise after a few years.

Not that I would have anyway, but had to do with a “eurocarparts in stock on a Saturday morning” one. Exide from memory as I’ve had too many Bosch ones fail on me. Mrs Digga has known me since the days when my cars routinely needed bump starting, but I doubt whether she would see the funny side of having to do it again these days.
