As many may know there is a Mk1 Gt3 997 for sale on PHs.

From what I believe this car originated from Ireland was for sale at Morgans before moving to be sold by the current dealer.
Does anyone know more about this car, is the exhaust street legal?
Are Mk1s not regarded as highly as Mk2s? I really like the look of this car but at the moment it's a few K out of my budget.
I think the price is the main reason it's not sold, what is a realistic price do you guys think?

I am currently waiting for a friend to sell me his 2 owner 40,000 miles 993 4s but while I wait I get tempted to buy something else.

Oh you've just shattered my dream frown I guess from what I have read there aren't to many Riviera blue Gt3s out there so there's every chance it's one and the same, looks like the same rear spoiler. I don't want to post a picture with the company name in case I break some kind of ruling but that would explain why it's not sold.
Did you take the pic? and thanks for the post.

The original owner posts on Rennlist, he harks from The Emerald Isle.
I enquired about the car when Morgans had it up for sale, vendor was initially very helpful, but became progressively less so as negotiations proceeded. IIRC another PH'er had grief with them, either over this car or another GT3.

It might not be the same car?

I enquired about this when it was at Morgan's and got very close to buying it. Some kind chap off this forum who lived close by even went to view it for me. All looked good.

This is the car in Ireland on private plates.

IF it's the same car, it may not have been crashed prior to this "inspection" ? Though
I find it hard to believe there are two identical cars with those seats, that rear wing/engine cover and black mirrors.

I tried to buy the original engine cover as part of the deal, the gentleman at Morgan's wanted another £2.5-3K over and above the asking price, that made an already expensive car even more overpriced IMO.

Seems strange that the previous owner who was "devastated" in the above link about the new owner crashing their old car also is the same person who owns the dealership the car is for sale at. Link:

Strange therefore, seeing as the Instagram account widely publishes these facts, that this information is not stated on the Pistonheads ad, nor is it priced into the sale price of the car...

It's difficult to tell if it is the same from the bottom picture however the listing on PH state one of one in Riviera blue in RHD.
The cars in the picture are driving on the left hand side of the road so it suggests it's crashed in the UK.

Those that nearly brought it why did you not go through with it?
I was going to speak to the garage and have an independent inspection but after seeing the previous link don't think I will bother now such a shame looks a million dollars.
The other thing I think is odd is looking at all the locations the car is photographed in is the acclaimed mileage.

Oh well back to waiting for my mates 4S it's a lovely car anyhow and I know the history of that.

All that have posted on this matter really appreciate it could have been a very costly mistake, cheers guys

Nothing sinister in me not buying it. I just saw something else I bought.

I looked at buying this too, loved the colour, but too expensive at the time. Got my white CS for 6k less almost there years ago. So glad I did looking at those pics!

Didn't think it ever sold!

Such a shame as it looked a stunning car , I kept on looking back at the add aswell. With it being the only mk1 in blue it's going to be a hard car to sell on with the above pics flying around the Internet.

If it was repaired properly then there is no reason that it shouldn't be a fantastic car to drive.

Hmm not sure about that, if you click on the more details tab half the add says sold and the other half still says for sale.
They did this about 2 months ago but the car still remained for sale, I guess it's a marketing ploy still I could of course be wrong.
I'm still waiting for the right car to come up but there's little new for sale at the moment.

Did anyone else see the Viper Green GT3 for sale Christmas Eve it was gone by Boxing Day!
It was a 3 owner car but only had about 9,000 miles on, very very nice but over my budget.

I know the current owner of the car in the pic. It looks worse than what actually happened. He bought it from Williams back in September 2013. It went to a Porsche approved repair centre and it's came back looking amazing. He had extra work done too, as it wasn't as clean an example as what Williams made out.
