Morning All,
Last weekend I picked up a 996 C2 manual and I'm chuffed to bits with it. Its been a long time coming but now I've some space (new garage), I finally took the plunge after about 6 months of searching and some impeccable man maths. The car i settled on does have a couple of issues that need correcting but a lot of the major issues have just been addressed by the previous owner (new clutch and RMS). My first job on my list is the creaky front end, which is a well documented issue and one I don't mind taking on. I'm planning on replacing the front lower control arms and control arms in TRW kit form, purchased from design911uk currently advertised at £318.53 +PP.

There appear to be some good guides to follow which don't suggest there are any gotchas however I thought i would ask if anyone has attempted this before point problem spots and also whilst I'm doing this if there is anything else worth replacing whilst I've got front end dismantled?

I'll also try and document as much of the work I do and general running costs on the ph blog section (best intentions and all!).
