Recently purchased my first 911 (997.1 C2S). I love it but I need somewhere to drive it where I can make most of owning it(other than the track which I may do in the summer..). I live in West London, anybody have any favourite routes fairly near (e.g. Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Sussex) that I could go out for a blast on an early weekend morning..? Thanks.

Go down the A3 and turn off towards Haselmere/Midhurst/Goodwood and then turn around via Petworth. 1.5h drive and if you do it a sunday morning there is not much traffic.

A4130 Maidenhead to Oxford? It is/was a great road (Well it was back in the day when I used to drive it) I'm sure still damn good on an early Sunday drive.

You could also consider coming off the A3 around Peterfield through South Harting and on to Goodwood. Basically, a blat through the tunnel, then some cracking roads the rest of the way down - my usual route when I'm heading to anything at Goodwood from SW London.

Forget the south....head north to the true driving roads of Britain on the Yorkshire Lancashire and Cumbrian borders.....you could even come up for a few days, sample some proper northern hospitality and quality beer.....hehe.....thumbup
