What some of us always knew, the 997GT2 is THE best car Porsche have produced to date, faster than the 991GT3 amd Mc 12C despite being on older rubber and manual gearbox - and this one's only got 620PS

Actually, the last one for sale on here the week before last was advertised for 2 days and was on at £250k

Yep, they've moved well beyond my budget now, was hoping to eventually jump into one as it's the only thing I'd change my 997 GT2 for, looks like I'm stuck with the old 530bhp poverty spec GT2 now

send it to Parr and for £20k they will upgrade the engine with 660bhp Cargraphic/RS tuning stage 4 kit. Lot less than to jump into a GT2 RS and the RS Tuning engine is a peach. Job done

mmmm! Its terrible only having 530BHP, positively pedestrian. To be honest I'm more than 100% happy with my "Standard" 997 GT2, I certainly wouldn't bother swapping mine for an RS due to a £150K Premium, sorry but which ever way you look at it, its not £150k more car, and official performance figures are not exactly miles apart. Its difficult to find a suitable road for mine never mind the extra 90BHP, also can easily have it remapped to same or more for hardly anything.

just look at how much involvement there is in driving that manual rather than moving fingers fraction of inch and engaging micro switch. I'll stick with the stick thanks...

The best LHD cars are around £180k --- but I agree, not worth twice a standard GT2.

How does one use 530 bhp on a UK road ?

The answer is, as often as one can use 612 BHP, whatever the headline numbers may say !

Well, I hate to prick a bubble, but that isn't were I would stuff £275k --- if I had it.

So an easy decision for me !!
