My front splitter has finally lost the battle against speed bumps, petrol forecourt entrances and multistory car parks!

Will probably buy the same motorsport splitter to replace it. However I did see a silver 996.2 GT3 parked at the 'ring last week with a carbon fibre front splitter, I thought it looked pretty smart.

Had a quick search and looked at the normal online shops but can't find it - does anyone know where to get this part from?

I'll look great , until you smack the next speed bump, kerb or driveway

It's incredibly vulnerable on a GT3, a consumable item,

Save your money, get the Cup spoiler

Agreed, it's probably too expensive and too consumable to be worthwhile.....but I'd like to find the supplier and see for myself.

It was the normal GT3 size (rather than the deeper motorsport size) so would give a little extra clearance

Have a look in the 996 GT2/GT3 forum on rennlist.com There are a couple of threads in there with people making/using CF splitters. Unless you are trailering to a track, and it was a track toy only, I wouldn't bother, personally.

I know the one you mean. The person with the silver GT3 has developed the 'mould' (or whatever its called) himself and is now able to produce additional examples. That particular example was strong but flexible (as opposed to rigid) - I assume it will ultmately break or crack if hit really hard.

I'll see if I can locate the forum id...

That would be very helpful!

I found that Manthey do a cf version priced (if my german is correct) at 895 euros - a little outside my budget
