Hi all,

Just wandering what peoples opinions are, currently own a mint Iris blue yr 99 gt3 with buckets/carbon pack etc, full history car wanting nothing, all A1, mileage is 47k.
Dilemma is love driving the car look forward to using it, generally just road use for nice weekends/shows etc but always seem to be mileage watching remembering when there was afew for sale most of them at the time were mark2s but they all nearly only had 25k on them!! Guess just lots of track use? Was wandering all the hype and values of gt3s at present what would be regarded as high mileage when sale time comes!!! Not that I plan on this. Seem a shame that you don't often see that many used as such, guess just speculating the future I Persume and even can't help myself semi looking for a high mileage 993 so can use it without the worry of piling the miles on! Seems like they getting like certain red cars ?

Thanks for people's thoughts

One of my friends was killed on his motorbike at the weekend. He was 45.

Mileage worries are not only pointless and stupid, but actually don't make any real sense.

Enjoy your car. I am. And mines Iris too.

Obviously mega low miles will always fetch the big bucks but where is the fun in that.
I own a Mk1 CS in guards red and it now has 62k miles on it.
Same use as yours. Weekends away to watch mates racing, shows etc.

At the end of the day I love the car for what it is. It'll be nice if it rises in value after I've got out of all my previous pork at just the wrong time value wise, but I don't really care. It's just great owning a rare, race bred 911 that you rarely see.

Higher mileage 964RS and 2.7RS still go for good money so just enjoy your car.
Your car sounds lovely. Get some pics up sometime. smile

Couple of pictures of the old girl, absolutely love it and look forward to using it now come out of hibernation. Perhaps may do a few concours shows with it this year. Attending the Sunday service events I always enjoy. Perhaps meet some of you there one day..

Sorry to hear about the motor cycle accident, like you say life is for living...

It bloody is isn't it!

Now imagine not driving such a drivers car because you want it to be worth more when you in a home pissing on yourself.

Thats what I am talking about.

Fantastic car, but I do hope it's been to its spiritual home - the Nurburgring smile

That really sums it up.. Enyoy your cars while you can.. Don't keep the mileage down for the next owner! Surely you buy a car for yourself and not the next owner?
