Porsche pinched the colour from Nissan from the old Micra driven by freshy's lol, a rank colour but it's all personal.
But that what I think of when I see it.
I’d expect nothing less from an individual who thinks driving around in a phlegm green hard top Boxster is the height of cool ... But that what I think of when I see it.

I would see a doctor if your spit looks like that :-)
2 strange colours which will split opinion of course.
Lesson for today : Phlegm isn’t the same as saliva.2 strange colours which will split opinion of course.
Phlegm is a type of mucus produced in the lungs and lower respiratory tract. It is most noticeable when a person is acutely sick or has a longstanding health condition.
And a colour chart to help you with any future diagnosis.

What are people’s thoughts on the current crop of cars for sale?
Is there a particular one that you’re interested? If so pm me and I’ll see if I got it in my database. (though I stopped tracking the cars in the classified about a year ago)AQRS2, replied. No good news I’m afraid.

Thanks, do you think your issues could have been that the lines were for a mk.2 and yours being a mk.1, maybe they had/have different fitments on the chassis end?http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=135064&postda...
Edit - looks like the mk.1 had a different part number for the brake lines compared to the mk.2, unless ive misread the PET catalogue

They were copied and custom fabricated from the braided lines that were on the car (which fitted perfectly) but the Hel dealer (Bigg Red) didn't have the correct (I imagine generic) "bulkhead" fittings required. The specific issue was this hexagonal section arrowed, was too small for the hole in the bracket mounted to the inner flitch of the car. The end of the pipe is secured to the bracket by tightening the union up, which in turn squeezes a spring clip up against the bracket. If the fit isn't accurate, the pipe won't be secured properly (if at all IIRC)
My guess is every 996/986/997/987 uses them, but Bigg Red rang Hel in Germany who said they "weren't available" ...
My guess is they'd have to have purchased a box of 100 or 200 of the fittings (or a MOQ) and they didn't think it a worthwhile investment.

Hello,
I think i editted my response as you hit the reply to your post. Just been looking at PET Catalogue, though i might be looking at the wrong image (very possible), but looks like the mk.1 and mk.2 had different brake lines/codes.
Though ive also found that the PCCB equipped cars might have had a different line to non-pccb though i need to find a proper link to a PET Catalogue.
Im wondering that if you didnt have an issue caliper end, whether you had mk.2 fitment and this was where the change is?
Of course, i could just be chatting st...
Design 911 seem to suggest that the brake lines are one size fits all;

The short steel hard line which runs from the end of flexi hose/front upright to the caliper itself, is slightly different from Mk1 to Mk2, to take in to account the caliper being 10mm further out.I think i editted my response as you hit the reply to your post. I wonder if the previous owner encountered this issue with off the shelf parts and had the 'originals' custom fabricated? The specific issue was this hexagonal section arrowed, was too small for the hole in the bracket mounted to the inner flitch of the car. Think i might just go with the goodridge ones from D911 (after all that) but just trying to get to the bottom of the HEL pipes and if they fit/dont fit and might be helpful for other owners?
