Who sold that one?
Someone sold a modified Riv Blue 997.2 last year on 911uk, not sure they asking price but had alot of work done to it so maybe worth hunting down that thread?
It was private sale that never made it into the public domain. I's not my place to publicise the details, but rest assured I introduced the two parties and a deal was done.Someone sold a modified Riv Blue 997.2 last year on 911uk, not sure they asking price but had alot of work done to it so maybe worth hunting down that thread?
The Riviera car that was sold on 911UK did indeed have a host of mods. ALL have now been removed and the car returned to standard. Most of the kit was fit for the skip such was the parlous state of it design and installation.
But the majority of the mods were bolt on (poorly as it happened) rather than big buck engine builds and replacement transmissions, which are a different kettle of fish altogether.

The water is muddy with this one Siheb, has seen the massive spec and the the invoices that accompany this car. A similar mileage standard car sold over the weekend for the same asking price of the Zanzibar car. That should tell you what the £100k worth of mods to your car are worth to a wider audience.
Yes, they'll be the occasional track day junkie who'll want a massively modified car, but pay a premium for the privilege ? I'm dubious. Your car will appeal to a very small demographic, but as their values rise, the market will get increasingly sniffy about modified cars.
If your car is LHD, I'd try advertising it in mainland Europe for a premium (not sure how much) over and above what the other LHD cars are selling for.
You bought Ben's car? Yes, they'll be the occasional track day junkie who'll want a massively modified car, but pay a premium for the privilege ? I'm dubious. Your car will appeal to a very small demographic, but as their values rise, the market will get increasingly sniffy about modified cars.

Come on. You'll have to try a bit harder than that to hide your addiction from us...
It's more of a fetish than an addiction But seriously, it was bought by a good mate who bought my second 964 RS off me 12-13 years ago (and he still has it, but it's stratospheric increase in value over the past 3 years has curtailed its use) but rest assured Ben's car is going to a good home, it probably won't be used as much as Ben has used it over the past four years, but it'll be appreciated for what it is, that being a well known car in near perfect condition and with a great provenance.Come on. Much as I like Mk1's in Artic (seriously) I've no intention of starting another collection !

RPM sold that car a few months ago, I enquired about it but it was too focussed for me. It was owned by a PHer whose name escapes me but he commissioned RPM to do all the work on the car. The service history includes twice yearly services during his ownership. Was clearly well cared for with all fresh consumables/wear and tear items.
