997.2 tire pressure monitoring retrofit possible?

The last time that somebody looked into it they were told no. The reason being that the wiring loom would need to be changed in a full on "take the car apart and put it back together" fashion and there consequently isn't a parts kit for it. The information came from Porsche though, so could be rubbish.....
Either way though, the costs involved are going to exceed that of simply trading the car for one with it fitted. The only catch is that it was very rarely optioned and only things like Gen 2 GT3s had it as standard, so finding a car with it probably wouldn't be trivial...
