Loving the pics..
Are the wheels standard or options?
They're 996 Gen 2 wheels. The Gen 1 has the standard hollow spoke turbo alloys.

A quick question...
Where were the other cars you mention...what damage and what dealerships?
Ta.
M.
As mentioned the wheels are the mk2 GT2 wheels. The mk2 also generally came with the carbon wing, wing mirrors and front intake.

I'm thinking of the GT2's currently available on PH's.

Buy a 996 turbo, stick a GT2 kit on and spend the rest on a 9e power upgrade. Then wave goodbye to all GT2s (probably upside down in a hedge tongue out ) while you sit in comfort and make it to you destination without crashing into the scenery.
Unless of course you have some driving ability in which case a GT2 will leave a similarly powered Turbo for dead - fact.
Total exaggeration.
So you're saying a turbo is as quick or quicker than a GT2? I think not and have had both. I'd be interested to hear your view and how / why you have come to your opinion....? Maybe I've missed something.

Had both and on my 3rd Turbo.
Loved my GT2 and miss it sometimes, but to be honest I wasn't a good enough driver to appreciate the car and it was scary so much so, I could never relax in it. It bit me on a number of occasions.
I've now got another Turbo with full GT2 kit wheels DMS map Miltek pipe and 997 GT2 intercoolers and other bits and bobs pushing out North of 550 BHP, it is quicker than the GT2 which was standard and I can drive it in all weathers so it gets used more it looks awesome and has seats in the rear to put me kids in.
To me its about enjoyment and I just enjoy the turbo more, but that's me as it just suits my requirements more basically.

The GT2 (great plate)

The GT2 "Look" 6T

There isn't a huge choice choice of GT2's on the market. I was told a few days ago that a deposit had been placed on the SCoM car. The other two options both have historical damage. The silver car was quite extensive and there are a couple of previous threads discussing it when it was for sale at a different dealer.

I've owned a 996 turbo X50 and a 996 GT2 (as well as a 997 gen1 turbo and a 996 GT3). Both the turbo's were awesome daily drivers but for me lacked the excitement factor as a weekend toy. The GT2 is without doubt the most enjoyable car I have ever driven and that includes the GT3.

Mine...

Looks bloody stunning that mate, credit to you.

Not sure mate to be honest they were on the car when I bought it, they are 19's. They certainly look the part, thinking about getting them painted/powder coated Black

That's what I was thinking, they look more like the 997 GT2/3 wheel. Great looking car. I think keep them silver.

Equal in skill drivers, equal in power cars then I think there wouldn't be much in it. GT2 will be a bit more nimble on its feet but the 4wd of the turbo might help with cornering exit speed.

Indeed.

I never said the turbo is quicker than a GT2 (although in some conditions, it actually will be).

I deliberately kept my post succinct so that it couldn't be misunderstood or misinterpreted, but somehow you've still managed.
Read it again.

I said your post was a total exaggeration. A GT2 does not leave standard turbo for dead. Especially in the real world.

119,000 Euro for a LHD! Bit steep don't you think.

Is the Blue BHP car still for sale?

Price is about right from the limited numbers of mk2 cars that have sold in the last 12 months (one!) for the mileage and rarity it could be under priced :-)

Could be a rare chance to buy as there can only be a handful of mk2 cars available worldwide as very low production numbers.

JZ mk1 went for 85k and had 18k on it.

LHD doesn't bother me or CGT drivers. 😃

There was an Artic silver comfort for sale 30oddk miles, might be a thread on PH about it.
I was offered this car at trade 12 months ago, this one is best avoided every panel bent and repaired

All of us missed the bargain of the century back in early August. A Swiss OPC sold an approved Mk1 CS, with a spare set of BBS E28s, on 50,000 miles with full Swiss Porsche Service History for wait, wait, wait, have a guess... I dilly-dallied for far too long with them over the price, banking on the fact they have had it for sale for 5mths, and then some lucky fecker snapped it under my nose on the day I reconciled with myself that I would pay them the full asking.

Ended up with a 27k miles Fully Mantheyed GT3.1 CS, so there was a silver cloud, but anyway, have a guess on what it went for...
