My best drive yet

I bought my 997 C4S back in Aug and have a little over a 1000 mile under my belt, slowly but surely I've been gaining confidence in the car and my ability. Today I went for a drive on Snakespass, Woodhead Road and the A6024 climb to Holmfirth. What an awesome drive, loving the note when the engine hits 5k revs, purely addictive.
I was also pretty pleased to see that my usually spotless motor looked thoroughly used today, the dirt blending in well to the black paint and contrasting against my PCCBs.
I also feel proud that I have begun to use more of the power available to me.
Can't wait for the next time.

About 6 months after purchasing my GT3 (996.2 CS) a few of us went out to the west coast of Scotland. I'd been gradually building up my confidence with the car (having come from an AWD Impreza where it's almost impossible to crash) up to that point but that weekend everything just clicked in the twisty bits,heel and toeing etc was perfect and I just loved the whole experience. The harder you push that car the more amazing it is!

I too have just bought a 997 C2S coming from a 340 bhp 2005 Sti, and I echo your statement, it was almost impossible to lose control in that thing. I've slowly been finding the limits in the Porsche and it does feel a little scarier than the Scooby, but it's definitely a more rewarding drive.
