really? Oh I don't know the whole backstory but 911Virgin are very well regarded. I think you'd be hard pressed to find any issues with them

Oh I thought you meant the dealer had an association with. You mean the car itself....apologies, misunderstood you.

C00 car, currently in Spain, 09.2003 Speed Yellow Clubsport (003) with full leather (including buckets) from factory. On top of that: Ohlins R&T, 8:32 Cup final drive, RS clutch+flywheel, all the rest is standard. 75k km which should be roughly 46k miles

Not a colour that suits the 996 IMHO. The only reason this colour was desirable on 997’s in the used market was because it was rare. If many people had liked it originally there would loads of them :-) there wasn’t….I distinctly remember the hysteria when someone had the sheer and un ashamed audacity to offer a Porsche Green 997.1 RS for sale at about 20k over market at the time. Oh how everyone screamed, then it sold and there seems to have been a premium for it ever since. :-)

There were a lot of good people who worked for SCM and are still in the trade ... and doing a great job.

The behaviour of the management should not tarnish the cars or the people who looked after them.

And surely the people who lost either their cars or their jobs deserve only a sympathetic ear ?

Its the colour change which would concern me ... but it was great colour on a 964 and each to their own

I had that car 2012-13. It was excellent back then, bought and sold through 911V when they were 40k. Jaz serviced it in my ownership. Looks like its had one owner since and done 5k miles. The aftermarket work was all to the highest standard using OEM bits.

I have just read the ad ...

I used to visit SCOM quite regularly and I remember seeing the car there looking better than new. I was told then that it had been painted to demonstrate the quality of their work ...

At the time I owned a 2005 966 GT3 MkII in Speed Yellow, so it resonated.

I now own LemmingJames's car, he mentioned to me about this thread so thought id update ownership. More of a lurker and searcher than a poster but will try to get to some shows next year in it.

Currently cant decide on whether to keep the duck tail or put OEM wing on as i like both
