Low miles manual 997 GTS at Dovehouse.
Discussion
It seems to have undergone a bit of customisation, but isn't this the sort of thing all you blokes with overactive left arms are after? (though perhaps not at £70k)

Only mods I can see are as follows:
Wheels painted in Gloss Black to remove original polished lip.
Red centre-lock nuts (approx. £700 set!)
911 Speedster style black rear arch protection vinyl
Top money but good spec and stunning seats!
Yes, those are the obvious bits. Speaking personally, if I were going to pay top dollar I'd want it to look untouched. But that's just me.Wheels painted in Gloss Black to remove original polished lip.

You do like those seats though, don't you.

Not a fan of the black wheels or the shark fins on the sale car, but manual 997.2 GTS does look a great car.
With 408bhp engine it's not far off a 997.1 GT3.
Agreed about the black wheels. Should work, but don't. And the fins.... ugh. With 408bhp engine it's not far off a 997.1 GT3.
Weren't all the 997 GTSs 408hp though?

Yes they were, but £70k being close to 997.1 GT3 money, I thought it was a point worth making. Especially as you get a newer more usable car with extra seats (and no need for a £10k refresh)! Weren't all the 997 GTSs 408hp though?
Excuse the stupid question but what does sports suspension offer on the GTS apart from 20mm lower? Does it still have PASM?
Has anyone driven both and what differences did you notice?
Everyone already thinks my car is very low to the ground, does it 'feel' lower in the car with SS and do you have the clearance issues of the GT cars?

Have driven the CGTS - one with SS & one with PASM back to back. There are quite a few threads on the Caymen about this. It was interesting. The SS felt a bit more firmer, a little bit more involving & more analogue in a good way. I was expecting the SS to be really hardcore, but it wasn't. It doesn't come with both -sure you spec one or the other. It also looks even better lower.

Looks awesome, second only to another carbon bucket-seat equipped GTS i saw in a PTS Maritime Blue earlier this year.
Here's the conddrum though, this is top money and you could quite easily justify comparing this to a Gen 1 GT3. If you do little miles, you may as well get the GT3. If you do a lot of miles, you are going to start wiping value off of the GTS pretty quickly...
This is the same conundrum which led me to getting a GT3 instead!

I quite like a few tasteful mods to personalise the car and now see my GTS as perfect....
Nothing wrong with that, but it's someone else's personalisation when you are buying a modified car and that's not quite the same thing. For that reason I prefer buying a standard spec car.
I have to agree... this looks like a fantastic car with an awesome spec from a very well respected dealer as already mentioned. The options for me make the car look tasteful without being overly in your face. GT3/GT4 vs this is a hard one to call given the differences in all of the cars. However, a 997.2 manual GTS with this kind of spec and buckets has to be quite rare... oh and the mileage! This is what makes the price hard to call given warranty till March 17 and given its a March 11 car it should have had a recent service too???
