As a lover of classics and manual gearboxes and lucky enough to have some experience of the brand , given the choice I would order the PDK Gearbox .
Reason being the cars with electronic everything , 4 wheel steering , torque vectoring etc doesn't suit a manual in my opinion , especially when combined with the current engine characteristics . Also now the manuals on Porsches now blip for you in sport mode I just can't see the point

Have to say I always thought manuals where the choice for me, never owned a automatic car of my own but now I have it I have to say I do really love it. Mostly have it in manual mode and use the paddles, when I am feeling lazy and just plodding in auto.

If I am in the car with er in doors its in auto, bloody loud pedal is connected to her mouth, is that a common problem?

PDK for me.

car so fast, chassis so balanced, you might as well have the best gearbox.

if you want a manual, get a slower car. much much better imo

Id be quite happy with PDK. I'd take it over torque vectoring, rear wheel steer and the traction control systems. I think that a passive analogue chassi'd version with pdk would be quite a tactile and enjoyable experience. A manual version that retains the rws, vectoring and other electronic aids does not make a lot of sense to me.

Hear what you're saying, and I agree with what others are saying in terms of PDK ultimately improving the driving experience by being a better match for the 991 GT3 - but the fact that it means drivers can no longer inadvertently 'trash' their engines by overreving has to be a good thing too, right? idea
