Am I right in thinking that a RHD car is worth more than a LHD? For example, £300,000 plus for RHD, but £220,000 for LHD? I am a genuine buyer if the right car came up, but I am not sure where the market is.

makes no sense to export a car from Singapore if that car has already been registered in Singapore

import tax and duty on a car like the GT3 RS will be at least 300% of the price from Porsche AG

You can claim most of the singapore taxes off when you export the car out of the country.

With so few cars available and an unknown number of buyers, there's no real 'market as such'.

Quite simply, a seller will seek as much as possible and a buyer will aim for as low as possible and these requirements may or may not overlap!

You just need to decide what price you are prepared to pay!

True but you get to claim off the 7% of GST in Singapore when exporting the car plus the insane OMV car taxes so even paying 20% of VAT here in the UK, it's still going to be way lower than the insane premiums it seems C16 cars are asking for....

I think you only pay 10% import duty for those cars not manufactured in Europe. So this car is 195 + VAT = 234k.

I would like to know, if assuming this car was legitimate, who on here would be prepared to pay 85k over? Apart from Apollo of course or supercarlover as he now calls himself.

No---- you pay 10% Import Duty for any car imported from outside EU
At least, I have just had to ................plus 20 % VAT.. !!!
IF you are a registered VAT Trader, you can then apparantly reclaim the 20% and pay Margin Scheme on sale of car..
But no reclaim of 10% Import Duty

£375k is ridiculous. "Over £20k of options" made me laugh.

In my experience - its 20 % VAT , however if you get a document from Porsche confirming that original country of manufacture was Germany , as its inside the EU , it is Duty free smile

The 20 % would be on the original price of the car not the price they are asking smile

Good point on VAT !! And yes, if you can prove car was manufactured in the EU, then no import duty.
