In amazing condition and really went rather well!

So, after all my deliberating over a 991, or a 997, I've ended up with a 981 Caymen GTS... LOL.

I couldn't resist the 3.4 flat six behind my ears!

I've just pulled the trigger on a 2012 997 Turbo S.

It will be my daily driver.

Picking it up after Christmas.

My previous car was a 2007 997 Turbo Tip which i managed to clock up 26K in two years ownership.
You could say i am impressed by the Turbo's ability to deal with London traffic,M25 commutes and weekend fun with an auto box and i think PDK is going to be brilliant.

I'm a good few hundred miles in, and I'm very impressed. It feels tight, agile and the cabin is such a nicer place to be than the older turbos I looked at IMO. I've still got the 911 itch to scratch, so, I'll be aiming for a GT3 next year if all goes well.

I know it's not the right section, but here's a couple of pictures anyway xmas

Congrats on your 997 Turbo S, enjoy it in good health.

I have had my 2012 Turbo S since this spring and in that time it has been nothing short of a revelation and exceeded all my expectations- scary quick on any surface and in any gear, practical, efficient when you need it to be, bonkers when you want it to be (I'm still amazed at the performance 3000 miles in!),...perfect weekend car or daily driver.

Thanks Chad.

I'm pretty excited about it as every review, test and opinion on here seems to indicate the Gen 2 PDK is a huge step forward from the Gen 1 Tip.
I've never really been interested in a manual due to the varied driving and mileage i do on the commute.
My Gen 1 has been a wonderful car.I have arrived at work every day for two years with a huge smile on my face, and the same when i arrive home.Definately worth the outlay,i am looking forward to more of the same but better!

In November I pulled the trigger on a 2012 Turbo S too! what a machine, I'm still getting used to it but its way easier to live with than my previous 996 GT2. Only got 4k miles on the clock as the original owner hardly used it. I plan on adding plenty more in 2016.
