Have decided I would like a carbon rear wing for my 996 gt3 mk2.
As similar as you can get to the 996 gt3 RS wing,as in size and quality.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I got one from Manthey-Racing just this year. I ordered it and then drove over to pick it up and fit it. The OEM GT3 one went in the back and was 'bunjeed' to the roll cage up against the roof for the trip home. Failing that JZM are the official supplier but expect to pay about £500 more.

The Manthey one is very similar to the OEM GT3 RS one but provides a little more downforce. You are supposed to do the front aero modification to counteract this but personally if you are not tracking or pushing above 100mph it probably will not have any noticeably adverse effect.

Manthey are in Meuspath right next to the Nordschleife so even if you just visit for the weekend and have not been there before. It is well worth the trip. Two birds one stone.

Feel free to PM me if you want any more info. I am in the south east if you want to visit and do a face to face.

Cheers Pip,that sounds the ticket unless a cheaper/closer offer turns up on here ?
I do use the car for track days so what would you use at the front to balance things out,cup front splitter or simply equivalent RS one ?
Am I right in saying that JZM get their spoilers direct from Manthey ? And put their bit on..

I am not sure Rallyman is a dead cert though as he was selling his before I bought mine and changed his mind twice so I would wait for Rallyman to pipe up. That is why I went with Manthey in the end. It cost me about GBP 1,700 in the end although I obviously had to get myself there and back to collect it.

The cut outs and tilted central radiotor is the final solution to balancing down force. Look up a picture of a 996 GT3 RS front aspect and you will see the cut outs with mesh cover. I bought a previously damaged front pu otherwise it is another GBP 3,300 for a OEM Cup pu or look elsewhere. I have the parts to tilt the radiator but have not got around to doing it yet.

My original RS wing has been sold to a dealer. I understand the original RS wing is close to 9k from Porsche.
I still have the Cup bumper with cut outs for cooling

Yes, JZM are the UK agent for Manthey so same, same. You will have to remjnd me and wait until the weekend for pictures or try Google. It looks exactley the same as an OEM RS one with a black carbon weave and you utilize the existing uprights.

Ralleyman, have you actually sold your GT3 or just returned it to standard? Stopped tracking her or just preparing to sell and so returning her back to standard???

Spoke to JZM today and Manthey's are or were having problems with manufacturing of carbon wings and delivery ?
But letting me know tomorrow if they can get them still, and the price seemed reasonable too.
Got talked into a single mass fly wheel and lsd diff pack amongst a few other bits,on top of a set of BBS Le Mans, starting to get carried away....

Hi Pip,
I really wanted to do the summer trackdays, Zolder & Spa, before I let it go. Then put it back to standard, then swapped it for a 997.1 Turbo, and FAT cheque wink
The whole GT3 experience, was very pleasurable. The 997 will be temporary, it's too furgin fast tbh. I'll probably go back to air cooled again at some point

Firstly I have to say I am a big fan of JZM and they have done a few jobs on my GT3. However, let me tell you the story of my Manthey RS wing........

I decided in February this year to order one, so I contacted JZM to check on pricing and delivery. Satisfied I placed the order and paid the complete amount. It took almost three months for the wing to arrive and when it did it was in a delivered in a large box with hardly any packaging and the end plates were just floating around in the box. One of the end plates was damaged and the CF was delaminated. Worse though was the wing. It was not damaged but the quality of the finish was very poor especially on the top side. I contacted JZM and returned the wing. I then waited for another couple of months (by this time it was July) to be told eventually that Manthey could not supply the wing are were going to cancel the order. They did offer me the previously supplied wing at what I thought was a tiny discount but I refused. JZM refunded my money and I eventually bought a wing from GMG in the USA.

If you were going the fit the wing on a race car it would have been fine but not on my p & j.

pm me if you want any further details as I have photos of the Manthey and the GMG wing.
