Discussion
Hi all, recently bought some very nice 997 mesh radiator grill covers from zunsport , they have sent me some sort of loyalty card, there is a number on it that can be used by anyone for 15% discount 1006 29886. Hope this helps for anyone wanting these.

I must say that I am not 100% convinced by these as I think they sit in front of the horizontal slats on the 997. A small thing I know but I like the idea of the original look (so being able to see the slats) and the mesh being behind them. Anyone found a solution that does this?

You can do it behind the slats using generic mesh cut to shape and cable tied in position. Any idea where the best place to buy the black mesh from? Guessing I'd want to take the bumper off and give everything a good spring clean before fitting to maximise the benefit. I'm moving to a rural location this week so wet leaves will be gathering quickly in my rads!c4sman said:
I have a gen2 GTS and the pics on their website show it in front I thought. Yours looks great BTW
Takes about 20 mins to fit.No faffing about with chicken wire cable ties and snips and having to remove anything, feel confident that it will prolong the life of my rads, and I think it looks neat.I suppose if you want to do it on the cheap and nasty you could cut up some mesh yourself but these seem to fit perfectly .Edited by harleywilma on Tuesday 24th November 08:23

I had a set of mesh grilles that fitted behind the bars on my Cayman that I got from the USA. The problems with that solution were:
1. Small bits of leaves that caught in the mesh would then drop down and fall behind the grill - so they did not fulfil their primary function.
2. It took a long while to zip-tie them into place.
That is when I put the Zunsport ones back. Not as pleasing aesthetically, but they do a better job and can be installed/removed in seconds.

Maybe you should punt yourself out with your chicken wire, snips and cable ties..Im sure zunsport could do with the competition
People have asked, but I declined. The 500% profit seemed immoral.http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Not bothered about saving money,Just didn't want to remove a bumper that has never been touched since it was installed by the factory,Also I can remove grills in minutes if any crud did happen to find its way in there,I have the centre Radiator fitted for extra cooling as has got the X51 power pack and the Centre grill was needed ,Also mesh has a thick powder or plastic coat for added finish and protection...Happy Days I think.harleywilma said:

Agree no brainer on the 997.1 but as I said, I don't think it looks as good on the 997.2Gassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
