Automatic Tip does not matter a Jot so not a disaster and probably still working correctly ,ask paragon and virgin but to name but a few, they sell loads of them just as well as manuals. Its just slightly comforting you can still achieve these heady figures for your worn out 997 once you've gone to the moon and back and is a little worse for wear.anonymous said:

Yep totally agree, i love the 997.1 but they are not 'made of steel' they do wear, look at the drivers seat in that car! You would be talking suspension and engine so about £20k where these cars are a bargain is in the 50-70k miles for about £20k of course you have the engine issues but some are in pretty much perfect condition at that price.Based on no scientific research at all the ones with engine issues always seem to be tip's and although they sell as tine passes they will always be less desired, the porsche market as always been better for mannuals as they ger older

I agree that this one is marginal, however I would be happy with the cost being slightly higher than buying the finished article, for a number of reasons:- if you're commissioning the work yourself, you know exactly who has done what, and to what standard
- The work will have been freshly done for you.
- You've got more comeback if it's you yourself that has paid for the work (versus a previous owner who's now long-gone)
- There's a pleasure in restoring cars/making cars 'better' (think Wheeler Dealers, Car SOS etc.)
I have closely observed the pictures of the car and If you look in the background It Is british car auctions who I believe now own webuyanycar.com and the ukgcr stickers in the screens are the banner that they flog them off through to the trade,This all looks a bit dubious I must admit but maybe they are the cars that dont sell through there auctions,
as clearly they are not hiding the fact.

I'm pretty sure carswithnoreserve are separate from BCA/WBAC... They simply photograph the car as quickly as possible after they buy the car at auction to get the eBay auction going ASAP. They're not alone in that - lots of cars are advertised online (on Gumtree, eBay, Autotrader etc) before the trader that bought them even gets home.

You cannot buy a car cheap enough at bca let alone make a profit on it through ebay the indemnity's circa £270 on top of the sale price and that is to the trade ,believe me Im in the trade and every one and his dog pays over the odds at auctions to buy these dogs. You are not allowed to take photographs at these places either you will be removed from the site be it a phone or camera and these pics are high res with the drivers in them and boldly displaying the ukgcr banner that is the banner bca uses for flogging we buy any dogs.com.Gassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
