Burning smell when closing roof of my 911

Hi, I have a 997 Carrera Cab (Gen 2) and as there was a brief glimpse of sunshine when I popped down the shops today I dropped the roof. However, when I closed it again there was a smell of burning and smoke appeared near the closing clip that is situated just above the rear view mirror. The roof still closed ok but I'm slightly concerned as to what could have blown. Any ideas? Thanks
