I'm quite tempted by the romans black one although jet black i love and hate in equal measure. looks stunning now but will be high maintenance / will show every blemish. whats the mark up on the price at 119k?nigestar said:

I think I would worry about being disappointed going from a GT4 to a GTS as the GT4 is ana absolute racer
based on the comments of several owners of gt4s who have changed to the new gts the converse is true. And I had a gt4 now sold with a gts arriving shortly. Both mega cars ,but the gts is more exciting .GT4P said:
Is not comparing the two like comparing apple with pears? Most likely they are both brilliant in there own right and bring a smile to your face in different ways!
This. I think it very much depends on what you expect from the car and what you want from it.
Id imagine if the GT4 had more torque or the 430bhp 991.1 GTS engine it'd be a slightly different story.
To some the connectivity/useability side of thing in the 991.2 is far superior to what is in the GT4.

Yes, that's what I did. GTS for Daily and Spyder for Weekend. Can't stop driving the GTS - there's just something about how it delivers its power that feels amazing. I've done 2,500 miles in the GTS in two months! Might just be the novelty factor. PS - I also love the PDK and may even spec it in the GT3!!!!

That's the car that I mentioned previously. Castle motors have a new GTS in white http://www.castlemotors.com/used-porsche-911-liske... which I saw yesterday, looks stunning and even though it's not a colour I would have chosen, it could have persuaded me!!franki68 said:

I have never driven a gt4 but have always thought of it as a track focused racer so surprised the gts is more exciting, in what way?2010spy said:
Looks lovely - I still bloody wish that porsche wouldn't butcher the fronts with a plate plinth but thats just me personally! Sticky plate or directly onto car with sticky pads keeps the lines that bit cleaner imo.
Looks awesome in GT Silver, lovely looking thing, really clear lines - what spec did you opt for in the end?

I have never driven a gt4 but have always thought of it as a track focused racer so surprised the gts is more exciting, in what way? However the more i drive my GTS the more addictive it becomes and i think the reason for that is the amazing engine which is the best i've experienced in a road car.The GT4 despite being fantastic in isolation, after driving the GTS it highlights the flawed power delivery in the GT4. Part of this i suspect is the overly high gearing and the missing urgency of the detuned GT4 above 6.5k revs. The GTS's power delivery imo has no gaps and revs just like a nasp but with the added bonus of unburstable energy at low to mid range the GT4 can't match.
Mind you a lot of this could be down to the amazing PDK. The GT4 does sound better at high revs which makes the fact that Porsche hobbled the engine even more annoying. If i still owned the GT4 i would have tuned it back to its original state which would have addressed all my misgivings but the GTS engine feels just perfect straight out of the box..
This is irrelevant in a way because my new GTS cost me pretty much exactly £30k more than i paid for the GT4 which makes the GT4 the bargain of the century so its very unfair to compare the two cars...

Does anyone know if the option to paint the side skirts includes some form of paint protection from road rash such as 3m film re hardened point or something as I suspect with stones and dirt, they will start to look pretty rough within a few thousand miles
