991 GTS Must haves

I have been told my car is built and in germany waiting to be shipped
Should that mean no price increase ? From earlier threads here i dont want to ask them if they have not informed me
Porsche customer service is simply lazy as they can get away with it especially on in demand cars there are exceptions but my experience so far has not been one

I phoned my dealer last Monday 24/4/17 and they confirmed my GTS was in production that day and exactly on schedule and expecting delivery in about 10 days time.
I'd be checking that, as that was the timeline mine was on...dvshannow said:

"From calendar week 22 2017, all vehicles produced will move from Model Year 2017 (H) to Model Year 2018 (J)"
Calendar Week 22 is I believe the week beginning 22nd May so if your car has been built you are fine.
If you have any issues drop me a PM and I can send you what I have a copy of.....
Just been for a 100 mile run including some night driving, car still only up to 250 miles so not pushing her over 4000 revs, as per running in period, as per recommendations.
I have rwd with rws in manual, certainly at low speeds the rear steering can be felt, so you feel like the car is pivoting below you.It adds a very nimble touch which feels really nice. Also I took the car on to the motorway and after an initial slightly floaty feel in normal mode, switching to sport mode seemed to bring a stability to the steering through sweeping bends. To be honest I think you would have to drive 2 cars back to back with and without rws to make a definitive opinion on the value off it.Another thing I specced was the blacked rear windows, this actually as I discovered negates the need for auto dimming mirrors which I also considered specccing. No dazzle from cars behind me so certainly no need to have both options.
In my last car (981 boxster spyder) i had bose sound upgrade and considered it for the gts but glad i didnt, the standard sound package plus is plenty powerful. the most impressive thing though, even when running in, is the pace. This car, once it's let loose fully is going to be devastatingly quick. After each drive it's like you are slowly unpealling the talents underneath, I am no porscheophile who gets misty eyed about the loss of the n/a engines.I think the turbo power plants are just brilliant, delivering such an exciting drive.
