I'm going to go back and check my invoice now! £400 is not to be sniffed at.

They tried charging me £1200 until I told them it should be only £800. I wonder what would happen to the extra £400 if you didn't know/notice it should only be £800? Office Xmas Party fund??

Oak Green picture taken in the showroom on my IPhone. Old car but colour is pretty true in artificial light.

I know they are saying no PTS in the GT3 but do you think they'll introduce it with the touring pack option (or am I just being too hopeful)?
The e-mail notifying OPC's looked pretty definitive to me and we know it's available in other markets so seems like it's a GB decision.

For it to be available on the 2018 cars/Touring Pack there would first of all have to be a PTS factory time window (which seems to be across all production not just 991) in H1 2018 which is by no means guaranteed and then Porsche GB have to stop being miserly!

I reckon very, very slim chance of any PTS cars coming to the UK.

So that's not a no! I haven't seen the email so don't know the contents, but we know they will do PTS in H1 so it's down to timings and like you say whether P GB decide to 'allow' us to spec our cars as we want.

If not, and my OPC confirm an allocation then it will be white with silver wheels, PCCB and a few stripes.

Mind you if the market crashes as being talked about on the GT4 pages then they will be allowing us PTS and all the other sweeties in the Exclusiv shop PLUS a discount to get us to buy.

My car was in the docks for over 2 weeks before being shipped, the dealer just advised me that all 911s were being held at the docks and factory to check an issue with oil pipe ,hence the delay .
So no surprise if there is a recall .

Interesting that Oak Green is prompting a lot more interest. I ordered an Oak Green GTS through OPC Colchester a couple of months ago, but still don't have a build slot. I've been told that PTS can add up to 5 months to the delivery time, so maybe looking at June next year for delivery.

Have just sold my manual 997 GTS (it's at OPC Portsmouth) I needed something to replace the horrible, bland, BMW I made the mistake of buying, so picked up a very low mileage GT4 today. The intention was to keep it until the new GTS arrives, but that might change - it really is very good!

Have you got any new photos of your shiny new acquisition?

GT4 is a great car but I'd definitely keep the GTS order.

I think that delay could also depend on the OPC's allocation of cars and then lining up available cars with build slots for PTS.

I think I would worry about being disappointed going from a GT4 to a GTS as the GT4 is ana absolute racer

Hi all,

Been following this thread since I walked into a local Porsche centre 4 weeks ago and loved the 991.2 GTS, hopefully test drive this weekend with a view to replacing my C63 with one next year (early days, but exploring other cars too whilst weather is nice to test).

Spent a lot of time on the configuration site thus far. I like ticking all the options, but can't help but think some just aren't necessary for my usage - daily driver, at most 20 miles to work and back, longer trips on motorway to Cotswolds, 2-4 track days a year and total of 10k miles a year.
I've come to the thought that RWS and PDCC would be a bit OTT and I see many of the cars available now for sale or used, don't have either. Any owners confirm thoughts on this for daily use? I'm thinking PASM -10 would be best option for my use and comfort? Read a fair few discussions on this already and of course will try and test various before I'd buy one, but just interested to hear from owners.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

I had a c63 estate for a while (v8 twin turbo) and loved the theatre and sound it made, truly intoxicating however I really struggled to keep it in a straight line so went back to Porsche!

What colour was the GTS, I saw a white one today and it looked stunning. I too am also querying the RWS and can't make my mind up. I have it currently on my 991.2S and apart from a low turning circle, I don't notice it. The trouble is I haven't driven one without it so can't really confirm if it's making a difference. As I have mentioned before, never had it in 30 or so years of driving and never missed it then so feel I could easily forget I've ever had it. There are so many 'nice to have' options on the configurator that I am struggling to try and keep my build price down.

What colour you thinking of and why isn't it lava orange

The GT4 was registered in October 2015 but only 173 miles when I collected it. Have now done more miles since yesterday than the first owner did in 21 months! It's more comfort spec with the adaptive sports seats, but that's what I wanted as my back can't cope with buckets. I have to say that initial impressions are far better than my 997GTS - the gearbox is absolutely superb. The new 991.2 GTS will have to be VERY good to tempt me to sell.

based on the comments of several owners of gt4s who have changed to the new gts the converse is true. And I had a gt4 now sold with a gts arriving shortly. Both mega cars ,but the gts is more exciting .
