Taffy, did you take a bath on price selling the 991.2 GTS so soon or was it OK?
My Feb 17. GTS Targa 9K Miles made full up retail, from OPC. With no need to advertise. No doubt long lead time on Targa helped.

To confirm- your saying the OPC gave you full retail? What’s the business Sense in that from their prospective ?

That's great especially considering yours was top spec with PCCB's,PDK and 18 ways etc..Your probably one of the best loyal customers Porsche have in the UK so you deserve top service..It goes back to what i said in my post above..

No, whilst my car made full up retail. Form a OPC prospective I actually lost very little, bit less than Cost of CCBDs...2 other trade bids all offered around same. I note that some 17 GTS. 2 Targas are 5-6k over list on the used car locator.

As for OP, Must haves. Imv the sport design rear completes the back end..

Pistonheads seriously needs to implement a “Like” button.

I’ve not posted on this thread for a while since it’s moved onto gen 2 gts and me being a very happy gen 1 owner I was just lurking.

However - having had my gts (dream car) for just over 2 years I’ve started to think about what next. My car is a second car but with kids aged 6 and 4 I find the back seats a must if I’m to use the car often and keep the boss happy. So no gt3, Audi R8 etc for me.

So question to you gents who have moved from gts.1 to .2 - did any of you consider a turbo s now the gts is turbo engine (appreciate the more linear nature of power for gts)?

I was looking at a turbo but some of the previous gts owner reviews above makes me feel a gen 2 for me is worth a look in.

Is it enough of a step up to justify ?

Targe GTS is a very rare car....from memory there were something like 50 Gen1's and OPC's get four to six build slots a year I think.

Hence going over list !

Enough of a step? After 3 days in the car and 500 miles.......YES.

It is no Turbo S but in a way that is a good thing, you can use all the power more of the time, that being said, I have a Turbo S on order because that is an itch I just have to scratch.

I had a .2 Turbo s for 12 months, it really didn’t do it for me, lacking in character IMHO, my wife’s .2 GTS is actually a more enjoyable drive. I actually think this may be more down to the fact that it’s very difficult to use the full potential of the TTS on the road, great on the track but that’s less than 2% of my driving time. GTS sounds great and enjoyable even on a short trip.

After a trip to Wales yesterday, the GTS need a clean. Looks good in White!
Has it been heavy snowing up there??

Question - what snow foam do you use and do you apply it to a dry car or rinse it off first (i always find the initial rinse makes it too slippy and the foam comes off too quick - wondering if you have a better snow foam than mine!

Hi, I've just got a new snow foam lance and soap which puts it on really thick and takes about 30m to come off, even when pre jet washed. It was Karcher Lance with 500ml of Magifoam by Autobrite Direct. It's great. Amazon.

Thanks for the pics, if you have any more, that would be appreciated. They look pretty smart. Do they look like they were always there or an add on?

Thanks

They do not look factory, but they are good enough and worth it. Pulling dead birds out of grills is no fun.

Tuffers, they look very good, how do you remove the central blanking pieces?
