I ordered my GTS Cabriolet on November 11th only to be told January 13th that I wont be getting it as production is ending and supply is short. What a way to do business. They offered me a GTS Targa which I said I would have but I'm not sure I want to deal with Porsche again.
Not sure of the exact colour / spec you’re after but maybe they could get you into this?: https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...paul789 said:

I was afraid this was going to happen to me too, basically the dealer sold you on the promise of an allocation, which they hoped they would get, but the didn’t, and so you lose out.A targa is harder to obtain, and to be fair is a pretty close match, I’d have taken it tbh, although I’m going rwd, so awd would not be my preference.
We’ve known that gts allocations were slim pickings for a while though.
I ordered in September and only got an allocation late December for a Feb build, and my dealer said mine was their last Cab allocation.
They’re building too many of these dams gt3s that nobody seems to be able to buy, but lots of people still seem to be getting.

Value of GTS. My GT3 is due next month. If I decided to sell the GTS back to the dealer, anyone got any recent experience of what i would get on SOR or just plain chop-in. It’s 2017, 991.2 with decent spec, cost £107k new in March this year. It’s done 6,000 miles.
Dealer told me values are very strong, production for all 911's is turned down now and ends in May 2018 with a restart in September, the 991.2 will cease not long after that. It's especially bad this year due to some sort of exhaust emissions modification they are having to adopt. The dealer told me he had to pay full list price for a 3 month old GTS cab and would be asking 15k above that. Used GTS's are Gold right now. So it could be that you may get your 107k back, good luck.roger1361 said:

Hmm.. not sure about that. Looking on the used locator there are plenty of low mileage 991.2 GTS at under 110k, the OPC's won't be giving anything near 100k for them IMO. That might change in the coming months though - I would say right now is a bad time to sell.Gorsh said:

Thanks both - sounds more positive than negative though. I'd probably be v.happy with £100k back I have just managed to get a slot for a GTS Cab (it does exist), delivery early April, dealer stated this is the final run and when production restarts there will be GTS coupes only until 992 starts in Jan 2019. Being cheeky I asked for a discount and although heavily optioned no chance.
I sold my Boxster GTS to a Porsche dealer on PH within 15 minutes of advertising it was sold, give it a go and see what happens.
I will be selling the Macan the same way.

Do we have a collective sense of just how many UK 991.2 GTS Cabriolets there are or are likely to be by the end of the run? I sold my Boxster GTS to a Porsche dealer on PH within 15 minutes of advertising it was sold, give it a go and see what happens.

And how many of these are (randomly specified) demonstrators as opposed to carefully specified personal purchases?
Is this apparent scarcity being borne out in trade-in values do we know?

I got just under £100k for mine ,well specced £110k list with under 2k on the clock a couple of months back .They offered me more or less the same for sor so I did a straight sale.

I've Reserved an allocation on my OPCs only GTS (2wd) slot in march for April delivery .I sold my Boxster GTS to a Porsche dealer on PH within 15 minutes of advertising it was sold, give it a go and see what happens.

I'm going down Saturday to talk numbers etc I'm also going to ask for a discount so I'll see if they budge .
I feel pretty happy that residuals are going to be strong as numbers seem pretty limited .
Def going manual gearbox but struggling to decide on colour I like crayon but I feel that GT silver will be easier to keep clean and it's £1000 cheaper
