GTS looks great. Forgive me if this has been covered before, but is the Aerokit Cup now not available at all? I know it's all personal preference, but I think this option made an already superb car just about perfect.
It’s not available on the .2, nor is the duck tail, not sure why, as I would have liked a duck tail. Guess it’s something to do with the rear end with the new engine and the change of design at the rear.

The sport design package is just a more pronounced boot lip spoiler, pretty subtle, I have specced this in my car though.

Thanks David. Hope you enjoy the new car.

My night blue car has just left the factory, I have been a bit nervous about the colour but that looks fantastic, so no regrets for me now! Enjoy, looks fab and a big spec....

I picked up my C2 GTS (PDK) on the weekend beer. Purchased as my new daily to replace my R8 V10+.

My first impression is that it's SOOOOO nice to be back in a 911. The brakes are amazing compared to the R8 (by far the cars weakest point), the only criticism I have atm is that I feel its too quiet, especially in comparison to my old 997 GTS with a sharkwerks exhaust. She's booked in with GVE to get an Akrapovic system so hopefully, that fixes its fairly muted sound.

Here's some pics from collection day.

Where did you get the yellow model designation lettering from? And yellow side "GTS" decal?

Some advice please guys and pretty urgent

I currently have a GT4 which is currently being sold via my OPC in readiness for the arrival of a Carrera T which I have specced and ordered and is due very early April.

I have now however, been offered a 4GTS BRITISH LEGENDS EDITION ‘Derek Bell’

The car lists OTR with the delivery costs at circa £125k but this particular car has additional options over and above which bring it to £134k. The car is in an amazing spec, in my favourite colour [saphire blue] and has the bucket seats too. Dealer tells me there will be only 30 cars in total, 10 blue, 10 white and 10 in red.

Should I consider it seriously??? Will it have desirability and is it a good buy at that price? Car is unregistered
They do look immense....and the low numbers would certainly maintain value.... my local dealer has an Attwood in and it does look great........Conversely though that rarity may come with a limit on how much you’d want to use it....

It will of course be potentially a faster car than the T, but I’m astounded another post on here is saying that the GTS isn’t noisy enough and they are looking at an after market exhaust...... The T may have the tone of a turbo... which I like, but the noise of the Turbo spooling up and the mechanical nature of noises through the rear is immense... I certainly wouldn’t want more noise or power..

It will depend what you want from your car... If you had a GT4 I think the T would suit you better, but like we say.. there is probably no wrong answer...!!

My eta is 16th March, due to pick up 23rd, assuming I get the ppf done with them, at £2k, it’s not cheap though. Trying to weigh up whether it’s worth it.

Anyone know the deal with pvt, is it standard now through the app? Is the pvt plus the cobra one either the additional fob?

I’d like a tracker, but not with the extra fob, as that seems like a right pain.

Hello everyone,

Does anyone have a 991.2 GT3 slot secured? Is there any technique to use with the OPC to get them to give you a slot. Or is anyone willing to sell there slot for a small premium?

Thanks

I tend to think that the huge majority of 911 owners really look after their cars. My detailer says the same, it always the P guys that take care..

All the best..

They come with two tracker fobs, I agree they are a pain especially if you do as you should and keep it separate to your car key. Luckily my insurance didn't need the tracker activating so I haven't bothered with it. IIRC subscription is about £230 pa.

Didn’t activate the tracker, as said above, 2 fobs are a pain and didn’t make a significant difference to insurance so no cost benefit in that sense.
The App shows you car location and lets you set up a Geo fence etc... Also took GAP insurance, would prefer not to recover the car if someone manages to take it to be honest.

Thanks, so included for free you can track the car on the app, it’s only if you need a tracker for insurance you have to pay, and with that the only option is the fobs?

Yes mate, with the factory fitted system get you 2 fobs with the car even if you don’t activate it so you have the option to do it later if you change your mind. Around £230 p/y subscription.
I’m insured through Admiral, think it was about £80 cheaper if I activated the tracker but not a requirement under the policy. My personal preference was to look after my own security and have a comprehensive GAP insurance policy should the worst happen.

Not sure how robust the app is from a security perspective but yes it is free and it gives an accurate location on google maps and as said you can go to the security tab and set up a max speed and max distance from any given point through Geo fence as well. Also shows and does a lot of other gimmicky stuff like current mileage, fuel level, service due, flashes lights and beeps the horn etc....

Car Connect App under the security icon. A virtual geographical boundary you can set up on the map relative to your cars location. Defined by GPS and If the car moves outside the boundary, an alert is sent to your mobile device.

You can also set up a “speed fence” set maximum speed, if the car exceeds that limit you will be sent an alert.

Handy I suppose if you leave your car with a garage etc... and you want to keep tabs on what they get up to. Also useful to alert you if your car has been moved out with your street for example.
