I've been told my car is "immiment"............

I'm hoping it will be ready for the first weekend in March and I'm just a little bit excited spin

I will be praying to the weather gods between now and delivery day.

Re houndstooth inserts look on the GT3 Q&A thread on here a few pages back, recently a bit if info about that and after market pricing options, think it was the same company doing a lot of the side decal work but can’t remember the co name....

Love that colour. Will go dark blue on my GTS order at the end of the year if I can’t secure a PTS slot. As an aside has anyone else considered the houndstooth cloth inserts for folding buckets and got a confirmed price on this? I saw on rennlist a figure of £1.6k but this was for the 918 buckets and wasn’t sure if it was the same for folding.

There are a few options on the houndstooth inserts I am aware of for the LWBS. None are identical to the 50th Anniversary/ 911R pattern but close. They may have an insert for the folding buckets but you’ll need to check.

A US co (named on Rennlist) does them for about $2k. Manthey in Germany (or via JZMachtec in the U.K.) do them for about £2k. These are for covers and foam complete. I am talking to a specialist trimmer here in the U.K. to make the covers only with a target price of £500. I am sure he could also do the folding buckets with a pattern.

If anyone knows of other options, I would be very interested to hear.

Thanks that’s useful to know. Am waiting to hear back from the OPC on the price for having it done as a CXX option.

Talking to my OPC the other day while they had the Macan in to fix they were saying that 911 production line was currently stopped as they re-configured it to take Mission E.
Re start of production is apparently around September hence almost no cars coming to UK, but that's better than USA who go absolutely none!

Surprised me....

I picked up my C2 GTS (PDK) on the weekend beer. Purchased as my new daily to replace my R8 V10+.

My first impression is that it's SOOOOO nice to be back in a 911. The brakes are amazing compared to the R8 (by far the cars weakest point), the only criticism I have atm is that I feel its too quiet, especially in comparison to my old 997 GTS with a sharkwerks exhaust. She's booked in with GVE to get an Akrapovic system so hopefully, that fixes its fairly muted sound.

Here's some pics from collection day.

The exhaust note gets louder with time. mine has now done 8K and the exhaust note is just right level with the PSE on

Found mine got louder from 4,000 miles onwards.
Screams nicely when wound right up, or the 'go crazy' Sport Response button is pushed for some over taking overboost smile

I believe on the GT3 it is a £2800 option, not sure if the same for the GTS.

I was told a few weeks ago that production on mine would commence on March 2nd - i’ve not heard anything otherwise since then.

Can anyone tell me if it’s possible to change the standard GTS headlights (Xenons) over to right hand drive for driving in Europe?
Yes, in the vehicle settings on the multi function display, I think it simply levels the lights so no dazzling happens. You can also change the speed readout to Kmph.
Thanks!

I had the kmph option in my 981 Boxster S, but no option to change the headlight beam. Good to hear that it’s included in the standard 991.2 GTS headlights.

How long does it take to make a 911?

Mine is due to complete on the 8th of March, although it has a few Exclusive Manufaktur options on it too.

These guys are so full of st it’s not even funny. One sales at an OPC tells me running low on 911 because of cayenne production (now it’s missIon E) and then his colleague the following week telling me they have slots for April delivery for a few GTS...

Only if you have PDLS

PDLS is standard with the GTS - PDLS Plus comes with the upgrade to LED’s. So checking if the option to switch to right hand drive settings are part of the standard PDLS package or whether you have to upgrade to the LED’s.

I think mine is completed on the same day, so they should be coming over pretty much together!

Ordered mine in September, car went into production 2 weeks ago, due at the dealer on the 16th March, then going for ppf, collecting on 23rd.

I have pts, that doesn’t seem to have delayed anything, but choosing manufaktur options seems to add time after production as it has to go into the special room shmee featured to have the standard parts taken off and the exclusive parts added.

Starting to get excited, pushed the button earlier on a personalised plate.
