I used to work at the back of the Porsche OPC in Reading, many times when getting onto the M4 I was overtaken (at above 70mph) by Porsches from the dealership that in no way were warmed up from cold.

Maybe the OPC was referring to how they run-in their demo cars smile
I was going to say the same, I’ve never been in a demo car without it being under 1000 miles, and gunned from cold to the red line when cold, and that was the salesperson before I even get a chance.

Same with pec cars, do you think they run those in for nearly 2000 miles at under 4K revs?

I normally keep to the running period for a car, but vary the Rev range quite a lot rather that just sitting on the motorway counting down the miles.

Just thought I'd mention that I'm in the market for a nicely specced Night Blue car.. just in case anyone is thinking with parting with one. I'm in no rush, just as and when the right one comes up!

Have you thought about getting a new one? Suspect Night Blue will be in short supply.

It was last year when the frankly outstanding reviews in the press caught my attention and I decided to order a GTS without having a test drive - and I’m happy to say I am absolutely over the moon!

Picked up last Friday from the OPC in the snow! This is my first ever Porsche and will be used as my new daily.

The dream had been either a Ferrari 458 or 488 but the arrival of my little boy meant I needed some rear seats so a 911 was the obvious choice.

Here are some photos - the colour is Crayon which to me is some kind of mystical colour that looks completely different in real life compared to photographs. I dismissed the colour from looking at photos on the internet but in real life it is the mutts nuts! I love it !

Excellent - enjoy. It's the best car I've ever owned. I've just ordered a new one, to replace my 2017 car. Strong residuals made it easy to change to a brand new one after 7,000 miles!

Sounds like you’re definitely a GTS fan 2010spy, how is the factory closure hampering your new build?

Hi, the new one will be one of the last cars out of the factory, I believe. I'm not collecting until the end of May so not in any rush (the only change I've made is to go from GT Silver to Agate Grey).

That looks very nice. I drive mine this morning for the first time in a couple of weeks. It’s epic. The best car ever.

Carmine is a lovely colour. It goes very well with the black details.

I'm hoping for a nice long run out in mine this weekend to put some miles on her. Only a little over 200 miles on the clock so far. A long way still to go for the run in period!

Picked it up this morning and it’s blooming fabulous.

I was a bit unsure on one option I chose but I love the red paint strip to the dash and around the gear lever too.

Just wondering if anyone here has fitted Zunsport grills to thier GTS?
Any comments, thoughts etc.
My local OPC said there might be a chance that they would effect the warranty if there were any overheating problems after they were fitted...

Yes a few on here have fitted them. IMO are easily fitted and removed - If you haven't already seen, Zunsport have a Youtube vid showing the how-to.
Pic attached of mine showing nearside front. I didn't fit the middle grill as the car has the radar cruise option.
HTH

Just to add.... if you go ahead, I'd recommend fitting from the middle of the car and work your way outwards.
As for the OPC comment, I wouldn't worry too much, easily removed and in 4,500 miles haven't seen any temp differences outside of Porsche's recommended ranges in normal or sport modes.

Had the Zunsport grills on my Boxster GTS and will also be fitting them to the 911 GTS when it arrives in April.

Certainly stops leaves etc going into the intake which has to be more detrimental to cooling than fitting the grills to stop all the rubbish entering.

GT4 has them as standard and the GT3.

Got the dreaded call this ,owning, car was due at the dealer this Friday, it now has a 3 week delay frown

The reason, too many cars to go through exclusive manufaktur apparently, all these gt3’s and gt2rs, mines probably been bumped down the queue.

I’d organised the insurance too and admiral don’t change the start date, I’d need to cancel and get a new policy. Can’t do that though as I can’t even get a quote for them on compare the market now I’m already a customer, the next closest us 3x the price. Tried a quote direct on their website and it’s double the price. Once they’ve got you with the comparison site, you’re stuffed, no idea what’s going to happen next year.

Cancel admiral and get a quote from NFU.
100 miles into ownership and I’ve already got a bloody puncture !

I second that NFU worked out cheaper than Admiral for better cover
